Specialism: Patents

Prior to joining Marks & Clerk in 2003 as a patent agent Mark Budd worked for an intellectual property law firm, predominantly in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. patent applications for companies in the telecommunications industry. Mark is a registered Canadian patent agent, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office on behalf of Canadian clients.

Mark graduated from Queen's University in 1992 with a M.Sc. in Physics. He then spent three years working in the private sector in the fields of image analysis, remote sensing, and software development. He obtained his law degree from Queen's University in 1998, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2000.
