Elizabeth graduated in 1993 from Carleton University in Ottawa, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in French. After graduation, she apprenticed with the firm of Sterling & Affiliates before joining the Trade-mark Department of Marks & Clerk in 1997. She is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and currently serves on the Membership Services Committee. Elizabeth is also a fellow member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC). In 2004, she was the program director for an intensive week-long course entitled "Understanding Trade-marks: An Introductory Course" offered jointly by McGill University and IPIC.
She is fluently bilingual (English/French) and has an excellent working knowledge of Spanish - assets which serve her well as a Canadian and International trade-mark practitioner.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys playing touch football, downhill skiing, snowboarding and relaxing at her cottage.
